Previous Projects #5
Recently, we had the news that one of my husband's relatives needs a kidney transplant. In order to raise money, the family was putting together a benefit dinner with a silent auction. I offered to do a quilt for the auction. I decided on a rag quilt as it is pretty easy and I love using flannel!
I made one other rag quilt some years ago and it is so comfortable and warm that it never makes it off the couch as I have to have it in reach!
The one improvement from my last one - I sewed x's inside the squares so the batting in the middle does not move around and bunch as you are washing it. I also recommend purchasing a good pair of spring scissors. Since there is so much cutting involved with the fringe, the scissors really saved my hands and wrists!
