When you sleep under a quilt, you sleep under a blanket of love

Shopping Trip

I went to Willow Ridge Crafts on a whim this week as I had a baby shower to go to and wanted to do a quick blanket for that. I did not have the swatch of teal colored fabric that was Grandma's favorite with me so I was nervous! I had a hard time deciding between two different fabrics, one a little greener and the other a little bluer. I debated for quite some time and decided on the greener one. I only got 1/2 yard of it just in case my mind wasn't working as well as I hoped.

When I got home, I held the 2 fabrics together and was amazed! I had chosen a color that was just a darker version of the one from Grandma! Grandma must have been there helping me and guiding me what color to choose because it looks so good with all the colors!

I don't know if I will use it as a backing, but I think it would be a great border or maybe something else....(sorry, have something in mind but don't want to share yet until I see if it will work)

And now, as time is getting shorter, I hope for a couple of days to get back into the groove of sewing and get other chores done so I have the time.
